He'll launch across the screen in air somersaults. The fight transitions and the Evil Wizard picks up a powerful sword that can deal fire damage, so be sure to try and avoid what you can. The floating balloon comes back once more. If you jump and throw magic his way, you can stay at range while dealing decent damage, though it is recommended to go in for quick melee unless you need to guard your health. He will side swipe your way constantly, so it's an attack and dodge strategy. If you stay up top to deal damage when you can, it shouldn't be too much of an issue. He'll spawn the soldiers you've come to hate from the beginning of the castle. Down comes the boss chest, open it.Īnd here he is in another incarnation, a spider of sorts in a dark room. Just use your air juggle attacks to stay up there with him and you should have him beat in a breeze. Once this health bar reaches zero he'll blow up into a balloon and float around launching magic downwards. The Evil Wizard is considerably fast in this phase upgraded Agility is useful to keep up with him. Once the bubble is red, the Evil Wizard can only be damaged with melee attacks and arrows and will attack the player using a magic splash attack. While the bubble is blue, the Evil Wizard can only be effectively damaged with magic, and will attack the player using magic projectiles. He will quickly walk around the arena encased in a translucent bubble, which alternates between blue and red. After all four crystals have been destroyed, the fight will progress to the second phase.Īfter the first stage, the Evil Wizard will descend to fight the player himself. Once the crystals are on the ground, each crystal may be attacked before they float upwards and start spinning again. The crystals will float upwards, spin rapidly, and fly at the player, dealing damage on impact as they slam into the ground. In this first stage, the Evil Wizard does not yet attack the player directly, instead summoning four large, red crystals.
